Caritas Développement Bukavu is an area that is part of the Archdiocese of Bukavu. It collaborates with the United Nations agencies, national and international NGOs, private and state partners, etc.
The identity of Caritas Développement Bukavu comes from the Catholic Church. Its activities are based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the principles of the social doctrine of the Church, which invites all to act in order to eradicate poverty, to denounce injustice, to work so that the province of South Kivu is in peace and to seek justice in conflict situations. Finally, Caritas Développement Bukavu is open to collaborations with Organizations that have a vision similar to its own.
South Kivu is rich in human potential. Its population is friendly, supportive and welcoming. This can be observed in rural areas,
where domestic and foreign forces and armed groups are raging, where conflicts of all kinds happened and where natural disasters
take place continuously.
